Beacon Retail Programme for Mallow businesses.
The Beacon Retail Programme run by Cork County Council under the Economic Development Fund was recently run in Mallow. The primary aim of the initiative is to provide a diverse pool of talented expertise across a range of industry sectors. This team of advisers work with business owners on a one to one basis, providing practical support and external expertise to assist them with the growth of their business.
15 Mallow businesses completed the retail programme -Nagle Fireplaces, Abbeywood Furniture, Parkwast Flowers, Luna Bella Boutique, Maura Hunter Designs, Caroline's Washateria, Dairygold Co-op, QIFA, Katie's Newsagents, Joyce's Pharmacy, O'Flynn's Footwear, Pi Cycles, O'Brien's Garage, ans Stunners Hair Salon.
Through the work of Mallow Development Partnership and Mallow Chamber, the initiative commenced in February and was completed on 19 May with a certificate presentation to the participants by Mayor of County Cork, Cllr John Paul O'Shea.
The businesses welcomed the opportunity to avail of expert advice and guidance which encouraged the owners to look at the many ways to grow each business and take it to the next level.
