2017 is the first year of the Mallow Arts Festival which is now confirmed to run from Weds 26th July to Sunday 30th July. The Festival will host a number of music, arts and cultural activities for the enjoyment of all, and in particular the people of Mallow and surrounding areas.

Alongside acts such as John Spillane in Concert and the Shandrum Céilí Band hosting a Céilí Mór, the programme of events includes drama, visual art, poetry, literature and craft.

The festival will also allow the wider public an opportunity to engage in experiential learning through workshops and community activities which includes a Daniel O’Connell ‘Monster Meeting’ re-enactment at the plaza!

Philip King of Scullion fame will launch the festival which also provides for local artists, musicians, writers and crafters, of both professional and amateur capacities, a platform to express themselves.

The festival is being organised by the Mallow Arts Collective which is made up entirely of local volunteers. Through their hard efforts and the generosity of local sponsors it is hoped the Mallow Arts Festival will become renowned in the world of local festivals!
