Get Fitter - Pick Litter
Mallow Town's inaugural 'GET FITTER - PICK LITTER' community event.
Mallow Tidy Town's Niall O'Keeffe, is appealing to the Mallow populace to "come out on Good Friday morning to showcase the energy and dedication of our local community". Everyone is invited to play their part, including businesses, schools, sporting organisations and voluntary groups.
News of the Event was launched by Mallow's own Wayne O'Donnell from 'Operation Transformation', who says he is delighted to be involved and looks forward to working with sporting organisations & youth groups on what promises to be a fun and very worthwhile initiative.
The Event will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Good Friday, with participants meeting at Mallow Castle before setting off on designated routes. Equipment such as bags, Hi-Viz vests, gloves & pickers will be available and, upon return, participants will be provided with some refreshments & entertainment.
